Dutch Victorian Brooch: A Legacy of Lustrous Diamonds

A Dutch Victorian brooch, circa 1860, displays the period's intricate design sensibilities. Composed of silver set atop 14K yellow gold, the brooch is adorned with 109 rose cut diamonds, set on foil to accentuate their lustrous quality. While the diamond weight is not specified, the craftsmanship promises splendour. This piece, in very good condition, carries a hallmark of the letter "i", indicating its verification as an antique by the Dutch assay office between 1906 and 1953.
