A small cornucopia-shaped container for holding a posy (a nosegay), sometimes intended to be worn attached to a dress. Examples are known made of porcelain in Berlin and elsewhere. Some made of silver are from Madras, India, 19th century; these usually have an attached clip to fasten to a garment and also a chain with a ring for a finger. A gold enamelled example may be from France, c. 1560.
