A material that (except when petrified) has seldom been used for jewelry, despite the attractive grain and colour that occurs in many varieties; but some articles of jewelry have been made of bogwood, ebony, sycamore, and some fruit woods. Wood has been used in some Indian (United States) jewelry, and in some fashionable modern jewelry, e.g. pieces designed by Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co., New York.
