Long chain

A type of chain that is very long (usually more than 1 mtr) and that, worn by a woman, was tucked into the girdle or attached to her bodice to form two festoons over her bosom.

Such chains were made with many styles of links. They were sometimes worn by a man around his neck and with an attached watch placed in a waistcoat pocket.
