Paragon

A term used in 16th-century Europe to describe a diamond weighing at least 12 carats, but today a flawless stone weighing at least 100 carats.

A type of pearl that is exceptionally large; some such pearls come from very large oysters, up to 30 cm wide; that are found in the South Pacific and off the coast of Australia.
