A type of pendant the main ornament of which is the tooth of an animal, usually set in a metal collar with a suspensory ring. Such pendants usually were worn as a amulet, and have been found mainly among people of ancient or primitive cultures. Examples are known from the 7th century AD, found in Anglo-Saxon graves.
